|all you ever wanted to know about butch and jen|
Butch and Jennifer are both from western Pennsylvania. Butch was raised in the small town of Mars, and Jennifer is from Beaver. They relocated to Florida in 1987.
In 1990 they took on the task of restoring Butch’s very first car, a 1956 Chevy 210 Del Ray. As the car neared completion of a frame-off restoration, they made plans to cruise world-famous Old Town, and here is where their love for great cars and great music began.
While Butch was a cruiser at Old Town, the management asked him to be one of the on-air personalities hosting the car cruise. At that time, the Saturday Nite Cruise was broadcast live on radio station WOTS. Starting as a "roving reporter" (a position formerly held by world-famous Bobby Logue) he worked side by side with several talented individuals who taught him the ropes and shared their expertise. In time, Butch was promoted to the lead on-air role hosting the cruise on the radio each and every Saturday night. Butch interviewed car owners and introduced the phenomenal doo-wop and classic 50s and 60s music of the era for four years. Anyone that knows Butch understands he has passion for great music. It was this passion for great music and cars that brought him into the car show DJ business.
At the same time Jennifer was kept busy working on the cruise staff, parking cars, selling 50/50 tickets (if you can believe that!), and greeting cruisers. During their last couple years at Old Town you could hear Butch and Jennifer together on WOTS as she filled-in as the "roving reporter".
Now, Butch and Jennifer work together providing music and announcements at car shows all over Florida, and thanks to their two mobile sound studios, occasionally travel out-of-state. They enjoy spending time with friends, playing your favorite tunes, and supporting the communities in which they work.
